Nonetheless, it looks as if Graeme Jones will now be taking charge once more at the weekend in the Premier League against Brighton and Hove Albion, unless the new owners can get someone through the door fast.

The Latest: Zidane was top choice

As per El Espanol, Zidane was the new ownership’s top choice before Emery, but the former Real Madrid coach did not fancy managing in the North East.

He is reportedly waiting to see if the Manchester United or France job becomes vacant, and is the ‘big favourite’ to take over from Didier Deschamps for their national side.

However, if the new ownership on Tyneside can sell their long-term project to him, then he could be persuaded to change his mind.

The Verdict: Move on

With the Magpies currently in a relegation battle at the moment, it just seems too unrealistic that Zidane would join them now.

This is a manager who has won the UEFA Champions League no fewer than three times with Madrid, as well as many other major accolades (Transfermarkt).

Described as ‘phenomenal’ for what he achieved with Los Blancos by pundit Kevin Phillips, the legendary former playmaker is likely to want his next job to be with another big name in world football.

Six Indian players will appear in New Zealand’s State Championship to get some practice ahead of the three-Test series, Niranjan Shah, the team manager has confirmed. Their participation will be staggered over two rounds – Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, Amit Mishra and L Balaji will play the matches between March 6 and 9 while Dhawal Kulkarni and M Vijay will join the competition for the next round, beginning March 13.There was doubt over their participation because two of the state sides – Canterbury and Auckland – include ICL players and the BCCI’s stand on the banned league prevents its players from joining any side that has cricketers from the league. However the scheduling is such that the Indians will avoid playing alongside or even against ICL players. This is a lucky escape for the BCCI which could have been put in a spot for the second time this week after having withdrawn Sachin Tendulkar and Dinesh Karthik from a charity game that included ICL’s Hamish Marshall.Auckland and Northern Districts have ICL players – Daryl Tuffey and Hamish Marshall – in their four-day squads but they already have the one permitted overseas player. Canterbury contracted its ICL players Shane Bond and Chris Harris only for the one-dayers and Twenty20s. The first round of games featuring the Indians has Auckland playing Northern Districts. In the next round, Kulkarni and Vijay will play the match between Central Districts and Wellington. A denúncia realizada nesta sexta-feira não é a primeira que envolve corrupção nas divisões inferiores do clube, que já se viu envolvido em duas graves acusações em 2016: um empresário que pagou e não recebeu parte dos direitos econômicos de um jogador e outro atleta contratado mesmo diante de relatório negativo da comissão técnica, mas “apadrinhado” por um conselheiro influente na diretoria.

Desta vez, um homem identificado como Carlos agia nos bastidores para cobrar de familiares dos jogadores quantias em dinheiro que seriam divididas entre funcionários do clube e facilitariam a carreira dos jovens no Corinthians. De acordo com apuração do site Globoesporte.com, o tal Carlos na verdade éWilson Zaponi Gomes da Silva, pai de Marcio Zanardi, ex-técnico da equipe sub-17 do clube.

كشفت تقارير عن تلقى لاعب النصر السعودي، 3 عروض لضمه خلال فترة الانتقالات الصيفية الجارية، وموقفه من الرحيل.

وكان نادي النصر أعلن تعاقده مع 3 صفقات خلال فترة الانتقالات الصيفية، وهم الحارس الكولومبي دافيد أوسبينا والظهير الإيفواري جيسلان كونان والبرازيلي لويز جوستافو.

ويتواجد النصر في الوقت الحالي في معسكر خارجي بمدينة مارابيا الإسبانية، والذي يتخلله 4 مباريات ودية، ويأتي ذلك في إطار الاستعداد للموسم الجديد.
